Explorer Day

A real-life explorer came to visit us at school. In his whole school assembly he showed us where he had travelled to including the Arctic, how he got there and the animals he saw along the way. He even showed us his rucksack and his tiny tent!  After that we completed an orienteering activity in the playground, the KS1 children learnt the points of the compass and the KS2 children used compasses to find flags around the playground on a map of our school grounds.
