Prayer and Peace Garden

Our Peace and Prayer Garden is becoming an Eco-Sanctuary — a special place where prayer, reflection, and care for creation come together.

Recently, the children have been working with great care and enthusiasm to prepare the garden for new planting. They have cleared beds, enriched the soil, and will be learning how plants, insects, and wildlife depend on one another. Through this hands-on work, the children are discovering how even small actions can help protect and nurture God’s world.

The Eco-Sanctuary will be a calm and welcoming space where children can pause, pray, and reflect, while also supporting biodiversity and caring for the environment. As new plants begin to grow, the garden will remind us of hope, renewal, and our responsibility to look after creation.

This project reflects our commitment to Care for Creation, encouraging our children to be thoughtful stewards of the Earth — today and for the future.

Our Eco Team

During our first meet we talked about a 'Buddy Bench' for the large playground and also for the Key Stage 1 playground. The children have been tasked with researching prices for benches, paints and also designing the benches.

The children have also been asked to come up with a new name for our Eco Team.... I look forward to seeing what ideas they have!
