We started our processing unit of computing this week. The children started to become familiar with a keyboard and practised writing sentences.
The children listened to the story of the lonely beast, they predicted the end of the story and acted it out.

We visited the Christmas story through a Nativity workshop
The children acted out ‘The Annunciation of Mary’ and thought about how she felt when she received the message from God.
For Black History month, the children learnt about Ruby Bridges and how she changed segregated schools.
We had a visit from the fire service -They taught us how to stay safe and we used role-play to re-enact a fire plan.

In worship we have been reflecting upon putting others first, instead of ourselves, to be a servant of the Lord.

To introduce our new story,’The girl who planted trees,’ the children followed instructions on how to plant seeds.

Father Alf's band came to school, the children loved dancing to their music.
Bike Balance- A few children a week will be enjoying how to balance using their core muscles.
PE- dance-The children acted out different animals and tried to use high and low movements.
The children took an all about me bag home to fill it with three special things they would like to show and tell to the class. The children will show a few a day.
The St Mary's way... We have been looking at our school values of: Ready, Respect, Safe & Kind and discussing how we can show this in school. The children then designed their own helping hand to promise they would try their best to follow the values of our school.
