Winmarleigh Day 1

We've had a fabulous first day at Winmarleigh! Our day started off with a bit of chill time in the games room, followed by lunch and a game of football. We then took part in our first activity which was a sensory train (a very muddy one!) and then the traverse course! Everyone pushed themselves out of their comfort zones and had a go at everything which was amazing! After a fun filled afternoon, we had our tea in the dining hall and then collected branches for our campfire! We had a surprise visit from Miss Butler before we all gathered around the campfire, sang songs, danced and then toasted marshmallows so we could make smores! We finished off the night with a lovely shower, chill time in our rooms and then lights out! A Very successful first day! We look forward to much more fun tomorrow! We are so proud of all of the children and their outstanding behaviour and willingness to push themselves out of their comfort zones! Team St Marys!

Winmarleigh Day 2

Our day started with a full English breakfast before we took part in the giant swing and then the vertical climbing challenge. All the children worked so hard on these challenges and pushed themselves out of their comfort zones! We are so proud that they gave it all a go! Excellent team spirit and determination! We made a pit stop for lunch before building our own rafts! Again, the teamwork was fabulous! After building a sturdy raft, the children jumped aboard and set sail in the pond! It was super cold but very enjoyable! Some of them even went for a quick dip afterwards! Our final daytime challenge was archery tag which again, was wonderful! Tonight's activity was ambush!
