This afternoon, the children took part in their wonderful speeches to become values ambassadors and sports leaders. All the children who wanted to take part delivered some beautiful speeches with confidence! I don't know how Swan class are going to vote. We can't wait though to find out who our winners are in next weeks assembly.
English - A Boy Called Hope
In English, we are reading the book, 'A Boy Called Hope,' and as part of the book we are planning to write our own letter from the perspective of the main character. We've worked together in a group to come up with the features of an informal letter as well as some ideas as to what could go in our letter. Watch this space...
Gymnastics
In our PE session, we are focusing on gymnastics. We focused this lesson on how do do different rolls; we successfully worked in teams to support each other.
Computing - Online Safety
We worked beautifully on our online safety posters today and we know exactly how to remain safe online!
STEM Challenge
We worked together as a team to bring a fairytale to life - we used different materials, planned our ideas and then tested them out! What a wonderful afternoon we had!
RE - A Letter to Father Jacob
In our RE lesson today, we worked together to create our own Letter to Father Jacob. We then presented them to the class and shared each others ideas.
DT - Playground Structures
Today, the children planned and designed their own parks before sourcing the correct materials and putting their plans into action. We had some amazing teamwork and beautiful, creative structures! Well done Swan Class!
Head Boy & Head Girl Speeches
This morning, the children did a fantastic job presenting their Head Girl and Head Boy speeches to the school. They spoke confidently, represented themselves extremely well, and should be very proud of their efforts. When we returned to class, we had a small celebration to recognise all of their hard work and courage. It was lovely to see how proud everyone was of each other. We are now excitedly looking forward to finding out who our new school leaders will be tomorrow! Well done to all of the children who took part.
Learning about Swans
Because we are called Swan Class this year, we have spent some time researching lots of information about swans and also completing some beautiful art work which will be displayed on our classroom door..
Letters to our Future Self
We enjoyed writing letters to ourselves in the future! We put them safely in the treasure box and we will open them in July 2027 and use them in our leaver's books!
