Wed 17 Oct 2018 Mrs Sewell
Today, Wednesday 17th October, the school celebrated Harvest Mass together. It was led by the Year 6 children, who read beautifully their readings, a harvest poem and the prayers. Leading up to Mass we have had an ongoing Harvest collection and we manged to fill many boxes! After Mass, the Headboy and Headgirl, along with their deputies, went with Mrs Kowlaska to give our donation to Fleetwood Food Bank. They really appreciated our hard work and generosity. Thank you to all our parents and families for helping us give such an amazing donation.

  • E-safety Talk

    Thu 27 Sep 2018
On Thursday 27th September, our Year 4/5 class and our Year 6 class had a representative from Lancashire Constabulary to have an E-safety workshop each about being safe online, passwords, appropriate images and age restrictions for social media and gaming. After school, we held a parent workshop to share similar information, so they knew how to protect their personal data as well as their children's. On the Ringgold and Van Gogh classes a 'protect to prevent' document has been added with useful information, guidelines, websites and phone numbers that have been set up for advice and to report anything inappropriate.
  • Paris World Games 2018

    Mon 16 Jul 2018
Earlier this month Harry was chosen to represent Fleetwood Town Under 12s Football Academy at the Paris World Games 2018!

Harry has been a goalkeeper with Fleetwood Town Academy for 2 seasons, training 3 times a week and playing matches on a Sunday against various academy's from across the North West. He has played against many well known teams such as Manchester United and Manchester City this season, even saving a penalty in the last minute against City!

Harry's dedication and success this season earned him the opportunity to travel to Paris to compete in the World Games tournament, competing against teams from all over Europe, including Paris St German. This was a wonderful opportunity for Harry to showcase his skills and talent and gain the recognition he deserves for all his hard work.

Harry has now secured another contract with Fleetwood Town Academy for next season where we have no doubt he will build on the success he has already achieved.

All of us at St Marys would like to wish Harry the best of luck for the future!

    First Aid Training

Yesterday the junior classes took part in first aid training with Gemma and Phil from Event Management and Training.  They discussed the various emergency services, what they do and how to contact them.  They also learnt basic first aid techniques and discussed in more detail the use of our school defibrillator.  We are hoping to hold an after school first aid club later in the year for years 5 and 6. More information to follow in the Autumn Term.
